LED Wristwatches 

LED watches were the first watches to electronically display the time in a digital format, the first digital watches being mechanical digital watches. The first LED watch was also the first watch in the world without any moving parts. They changed the way we tell time, until their appearance people didn't say "4:25" but twenty five minutes past four. Moreover, battery-depleting, time-on-demand, light-up-display technology, known as LED, was soon replaced by a superior technology, LCD (liquid crystal display), which displayed the time constantly and is the standard for digital watches today. 

LED watches were the first new way of displaying time in 500 years. As one manufacturer remarked at the time, they were "probably the greatest breakthrough in timekeeping technology since the sundial."

PULSAR – Pulsar was the world’s first electronic digital watch. Everything started in 1970 when Pulsar was a brand of the American Hamilton Watch Company and the first Pulsar watch was markets by Hamilton Watch, a parent company of the Hamilton Watch Division. Today, Pulsar is a division of Seiko Watch Corporation of America (SCA). 

"Hamilton's Pulsar Time Computer was the world's first digital watch and the first star of the quartz watch revolution."

This is a retro timepiece—a vintage Pulsar P4 Classic LED Wristwatch, dated from the 1970's. 

It features a quartz battery movement and a vibrant red LED display, housed in a sleek, futuristic silver-tone brushed tonneau case measuring 39.5x45.1mm, with a push button on the right side, all in stainless steel. 

The nice LED display shows hours and minutes using small individual dots, a distinctive characteristic. Pressing the right button briefly displays the time, while holding it longer reveals the seconds. The digital display is elegantly signed with the Tiffany & Co. name and logo. 

It comes with the original Pulsar silver-tone stainless steel bracelet fits wrists up to 7 1/4 inches (18.4 cm). 

This watch is in great condition and comes with a fresh battery, ready to wear and enjoy!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size. 

We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.  

The condition is pre-owned.   
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
